The official application for the Sounds-Write Initial Code phonics programme serves as a supplementary tool for developing reading and spelling skills in English.

Note: This application is currently available exclusively on iPad due to its integration of writing features. It is not accessible on iPhone devices at this time.

For young learners aiming to become fluent readers and writers, consistent practice and reinforcement of newly acquired skills are essential. Repetition of activities supports the internalization of alphabetic code knowledge, enabling these processes to become automatic.

This application provides a range of interactive exercises designed to strengthen skills in blending and segmenting sounds, understanding sound-letter correspondences, reading words, and writing both words and sentences.

The content has been structured to introduce all necessary sound-spelling relationships, facilitating a comprehensive foundation for literacy development. Progress through the units is controlled; each remains locked until the user completes sufficient activities within the current unit to ensure readiness for advancement.
